Dickey's Barbecue is Bringing Authentic Barbecue to Georgia

SUWANEE, Ga., Feb. 20, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- A new Dickey's Barbecue Pit is heading to Suwanee. Nicole and Aaron Michals recently signed a franchise agreement with Dickey's and will be opening a new Dickey's in Georgia this year.

"Dickey's is the best barbecue franchise out there," said Aaron Michals. "There aren't many barbecue places in the market right now."

Aaron and his wife Nicole will be moving from Pennsylvania to Georgia soon in order to begin their new adventure. Aaron owned an art gallery in Pennsylvania and will be leaving it behind when he moves.

"Georgia is a great market for barbecue. People appreciate authentic barbecue and great southern foods," said Michals.

Dickey's Barbecue Pit opened its first location in Dallas in 1941. Dickey's began franchising in 1994 and has continued to grow across the country. Dickey's currently has more than 200 locations in 36 states nationwide.
