Maui Wowi Hawaiian Turns Retirement Into A New Beginning

New Franchisee, O’Hara Mackey enters retirement and joins the coffee and smoothie franchise company to bring the ‘Aloha Spirit’ to Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Greenwood Village, CO (PRWEB) February 23, 2012 - For many people, retirement is the point in life when one chapter comes to a close and another chapter begins. O’Hara Mackey, Maui Wowi Hawaiian’s newest Franchisee, is exactly at that point. He will embark on a new journey with Maui Wowi, http://www.mauiwowifranchise.com, to bring the ‘Aloha Spirit,’ all-natural fresh fruit smoothies, and premium gourmet coffee to Port Saint Lucie, Florida.

Mackey has spent 31 years working as a Deputy Sheriff for the Martin County Sheriff’s Office and loved every day of it. As retirement crept closer, Mackey decided to take his years of experience and transform himself into a successful entrepreneur.

“I ran across the Maui Wowi product while attending a weekend event in my neighborhood and I fell in love with it,” said Mackey. That was nearly 5 years ago and every year after, Mackey returned to the same event with even more hope of fulfilling his dream of owning and operating a Maui Wowi business.

While at the event, Mackey approached the vendor of the Maui Wowi mobile unit and inquired about buying a franchise of his own. The vendor was Franchise Owner, Kim Wojcieszak and he was looking to potentially sell his business. As residents of the same town, Wojcieszak and Mackey had a long history together and that rapport eventually led to them working with Maui Wowi Hawaiian Director of Global Franchise Development, Justin Livingston, to complete a successful transfer of the existing agreement.

Mackey is ready to enjoy his retirement while he becomes a successful business owner. “I feel that there are a lot of things that can keep me occupied. I want to be a Weekend Warrior. That’s what I like about Maui Wowi; if I want to put more time into it, I can,” he said.

Mackey begins the newest chapter of his life with plans to start working events and venues using his mobile Ka’anapali Cart and hopes to have a fixed retail location within the first three years of operating his business.
