March 13, 2012 // Franchising.com // Dallas, TX – McKinney MOOYAH lovers can officially celebrate. The better burger brand serving the best fries and shakes around is opening its second McKinney location which showcases the brand’s latest restaurant design this March at 3201 El Dorado Pwky on the corner of El Dorado Parkway and Hardin Boulevard.
Franchisee Gilbert Ramirez and his wife Melissa can’t wait to open their first MOOYAH restaurant in their neighboring community. “We have lived in Frisco for over 10 years, and our family always wants to eat at MOOYAH because everyone can get exactly what they want. We can all go, sit down, have a meal together as a family, and each enjoy our burger the way we want it,” says Ramirez.
Melissa Ramirez, who doesn’t eat red meat, loves the healthy options offered. Grilled choices include Jennie-O turkey or veggie patties and can be served on a freshly baked whole wheat bun or in an Iceburger, which is wrapped in hand-leafed lettuce.
MOOYAH’s famous fries are prepared in a six-step process that takes 24 hours, constant attention, and a little magic to transform the fresh (never frozen) potatoes into made-to-order French fries. Since MOOYAH is proud to show off its kitchen, guests can even watch the magic as it happens at the restaurant’s newly designed counter-seating along the preparation table.
“MOOYAH restaurants are great gathering places. That’s why we love it, and that’s why we eat there. We love that the latest neighborhood design for the restaurant includes communal tables and fun artwork and that everybody greets you when you walk in. Each one is a community place, a local place. Our friends and family are ecstatic that we’re bringing a new MOOYAH to McKinney,” says Ramirez.
Ramirez wants his McKinney restaurant to have a strong emphasis on community. His wife and daughter regularly volunteer at Frisco Family Services Center, and the family is very involved with Hope Fellowship Church and in their community. "Giving back to our community is one of our personal commitments guided by our faith." Ramirez says. In fact, Melissa has served as a counselor with a non-profit agency that serviced the McKinney School District.
Partnering with local schools, churches, and community groups is a big part of what Ramirez and his wife are eager to do in their new restaurant. And with the high quality options and variety of the food choices, giving back is also going to be delicious.
MOOYAH’s famous made to order grilled burger choices come with a choice of nine sauces and unlimited veggies. In the latest restaurant design, guests will have an expanded menu to choose from and get more of a true market experience. MOOYAH’s fresh ingredients are at the forefront of the kitchen and guests can see the freshly baked white or wheat buns coming out of the oven.
Guests can also indulge in a truly American meal by treating themselves to a vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, or Oreo shake. The thick, frosty milkshakes are hand-crafted from real ice cream to deliver a smooth, creamy taste.
MOOYAH restaurants have blossomed nationally and are continuing to expand within the brand’s home state of Texas and beyond. The restaurants are successful, says president Alan Hixon, because high quality, highly customized food served up fast in a casual environment appeals to everyone.
“There are literally a million ways to love your MOOYAH burger,” says Hixon. “Each one is as unique as the person ordering it, and they can enjoy their creation in a restaurant that’s always real, fresh, and fun.”
