Dickey's Keeps It All In The Family With Newest Owner

Long standing manager is opening his own store.

ANNA, Texas, April 24, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- Texas-based Dickey's Barbecue is adding a new location in Anna. While explosive growth is nothing new for the world's largest barbecue chain, a manager opening his own restaurant is a first. Steve Dellenbaugh will be opening his first Dickey's barbecue location in Anna after working as a manager for the past 17 years.

"We're so proud that Steve enjoyed our concept so much that he wanted to open his own restaurant," said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. "He's already a big part of the Dickey's family and with his passion for great barbecue we are excited to see great things from this new location."

Dellenbaugh is originally from Pilot Point. He received his Bachelor of Arts in Hotel and Restaurant from the University of Central Oklahoma.

"I've spent the last 23 years in the barbecue business so I know the Dickey's concept works," said franchise owner Dellenbaugh. "I grew up in a small town like Anna and I can't wait to get involved in the community."

The new location in Anna will be located at 807 S. Central Expressway, Suite 300 and should open later this Summer.

Dickey's Barbecue is planning to add over 100 new locations nationwide in 2012. As part of this growth strategy the company seeks community leaders and local business owners who have the passion and experience to own a Dickey's Barbecue Pit.
