World's Largest Barbecue Franchise Opens a New Location in Florida

WOODVILLE, Fla., May 29, 2012 // PRNewswire // - Dickey's Barbecue Pit is opening in Woodville this Thursday on May 31. In honor of this smokin' celebration Dickey's will be serving free pulled pork big barbecue sandwiches to the first 100 customers.

"The community is very excited about Dickey's coming to Woodville," said Debra Lewis, native Floridian and Woodville franchise owner. "We wanted to add a dine-in restaurant to our community that offers good old southern barbecue at an affordable price."

Debra and John Lewis were both born in Tallahassee and are lifelong residents of Leon County. Debra was raised on a plantation and John was raised on a farm. The Lewis' have two sons, Jeremy and Jesse and are deeply rooted in the area with family and friends surrounding them.

"If we could have designed a restaurant that would be the perfect fit for our community and us, it would have looked just like Dickeys," said Lewis. "We love the concept of serving really great food quickly and at a price our community can afford. We love the simplicity of the menu; we love that it's served in a fast casual manner, and that you can relax in a laid back atmosphere while you eat."

This new location is located at 8159 Woodville Highway, right next door to the Woodville Post Office in Lewiswood Center. It is on one of the main routes to the coast and the St. Marks and Wakulla Rivers, and is only a short five minute drive from Capital Circle SE. There is plenty of parking and there is even an adjoining lot for parking your boat while you eat! Dickey's is open from 11am to 9pm daily.
