Dickey's Barbecue Gets In The Groove

DALLAS, June 9, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants announced today the launch of an interior refresh initiative aimed at the senses. As part of its rebranding initiative, the quick-serve barbecue chain has created a branded sensory experience that will roll out to all of its 236 restaurants."We take great care in creating a total experience for our customers," said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. "I chose many of the songs personally because I believe our restaurant atmosphere is key to our success. From the interior design of our restaurants, the wood fire aroma from the smoker to the tunes playing in the background – it all sets the vibe for the customer experience."

Dickey's refreshed playlist features Texas country as well as some southern rock flavored singer songwriters that have a raw, soulful sound. It will incorporate well-known artists while also featuring hip, new artists from independent labels. The company plans to expose customers to a unique branded sound experience found only at Dickey's Barbecue.

"We put together our new playlist after extensive market research to make sure the music we play reflects Dickey's current customer," said Joette Young, director of marketing for Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. "Although we are a 70 year old company, our playlist can still be eclectic and fresh."

The new music upgrade is just another step in the company's strategic rebranding. New interiors are in the works along with new packaging, a website refresh and an online ordering application that will be rolled out later this year.
