Rita's Italian Ice Serves Cool Treats at Please Touch Museum

Children Scoop, Serve and Enjoy "Carousel Cherry Ice" at New Museum Exhibit

Little ones and their families are now able to practice their treat scooping skills as they operate the Museum's new Rita's Italian Ice cart, complete with kid-sized uniforms, serving utensils and other related props. In celebration of the addition of the new interactive Rita's Italian Ice exhibit, a special event was held Wednesday, June 20th at 10:00 a.m. for visitors to learn the name of Please Touch Museum's exclusive Rita's Ice flavor and receive samples of this delectable treat.

During the month of May, visitors to the Museum were allowed to sample Please Touch Museum's amazing icy treat and then offer suggestions for its new name. Once the choices were narrowed down, Facebook fans voted on which of the top three ideas would become the official name of this favorite summertime delicacy. Laura Foster, President & CEO of Please Touch Museum along with Lauriena Borstein, Senior VP of Operations at Rita's, announced the winning flavor name, Carousel Cherry, and samples were available for everyone to taste. Renowned musician, vocalist Monnette Sudler offered asummer sing alongand Rita's mascot, Ice Guy, was creating excitement with visitors.
