Dickey's Announces Expansion Plans Deep in the Heart of Texas

Nation's Largest Barbecue Franchise Announces Record Expansion in Lone Star State

DALLAS, July 30, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- Texas loves great barbecue and Dickey's loves Texas. The world's largest barbecue franchise is setting its sights on new locations in Georgetown, Humble, Laredo, and Levelland as the next growth targets in Texas. Dickey's has more than 90 locations throughout the Lone Star State including a new location opening in Tomball last week.

"Texas is where it all began for Dickey's Barbecue," said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. "It's always exciting to add to our Texas fleet."

Dickey's has just inked two new leases in Georgetown at 723 West University Avenue and the other in Humble at 9759 FM 1960 Bypass Rd W. This year alone, Dickey's will be opening between 10 and 15 new stores in Texas.

"Our Texas born and bred company is now recognized across the nation due to our explosive growth," said Richard Phillips, vice president of development for Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. "Texans love great barbecue and we hope to have one in every city soon."

Dickey's Barbecue added over 67 stores last year and is planning to add 100 new locations nationwide in 2012. With every new restaurant, the company creates additional jobs for landlords, brokers, construction companies, and of course the city itself.
