Dickey's Continues Aggressive Growth in Wisconsin

World's Largest Barbecue Franchise Inks New Location in Kenosha

KENOSHA, Wis., July 31, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- Dickey's Barbecue Pit has fallen in love with Wisconsin. There are currently three locations in Wisconsin and soon there will be five. New franchise owner Bill Zimmerman is excited to be bringing smokin' hot authentic barbecue to Kenosha this fall.

"I've traveled throughout the Midwest for business, making a point to dine at the local BBQ joints from Kansas City to Memphis and Chicago down to Atlanta" said Zimmerman. "Then I found Dickey's and not only was the food great, but it was a cut above the rest."

Zimmerman spent 22 years in sales and management for a national truck leasing company. He lives in Union Grove with his wife Kris, a school teacher in Racine, and his two daughters.

"Dickey's has a passion for great BBQ" said Zimmerman. "They train their franchise owners to not only understand the business part of owning a franchise, but the true art of great hickory smoked BBQ."

Located at 11880 74th Place, this new store will be taking over the old Quizno's spot at the intersection of I-94 and Highway 50; it is expected to open mid-late September. The store phone number is 262-287-9889. Dickey's Barbecue added over 67 stores last year and is planning to add 100 new locations nationwide in 2012. Dickey's will be opening its Green Bay location within the next week.
