Southern California Becomes a Hot Spot for Maui Wowi Hawaiian

Maui Wowi Hawaiian Coffees & Smoothies opens its newest location in Temecula, California, expanding the brand on the west coast.

Greenwood Village, Colo. (PRWEB) August 11, 2012 - Maui Wowi Hawaiian, http://www.mauiwowifranchise.com, has set up shop and opened its doors at the newest place for premium Hawaiian coffee and fresh fruit smoothies in Southern California. Maui Wowi franchise operators and mother/daughter team, Kari Smedley and Kris Nelson have officially opened for business in Temecula, a city located in Riverside County, adding to the growing number of franchise units throughout the state.

“Southern California has really been an area of growth for us this year. Our new locations on Camp Pendleton and now the new store in Temecula are a big win. Maui Wowi continues to expand and we are so pleased to see new opportunities available for our Franchisees,” said Barbara Putman, local Director of Regional Support.

Smedley and Nelson became Maui Wowi Franchisees in December, 2011 and began operating a mobile unit called a Ka’anapli Cart. The tiki hut inspired unit was strategically placed just outside of where their new store is located, as they worked to get the fixed retail location transformed into a relaxing, Hawaiian vibe coffee and smoothie shop.

Drumming up curiosity for their new location, Smedley and Nelson served their all-natural, gluten-free smoothies, as well as fresh Hawaiian coffee, to eagerly awaiting customers.

With the store now complete, the community came together for a special ‘Friends and Family’ night to welcome the new business to the area. Maui Wowi’s support team, including Director of Operations, Holli Gallaher and the local Director of Regional Support, Barbara Putman, were there to assist in training store employees and to ensure everything ran smoothly.

“It was a great turn out and show of support from close friends and family to members of the Maui Wowi ‘Ohana (family),” Gallaher said. “Their store is so inviting and the staff is just excellent. We couldn’t have asked for a better group of people to operate this beautiful new location in Southern California.”

The Maui Wowi Hawaiian store will be celebrating its Grand Opening on Saturday, September 15th and is located at 27501 Ynez Road in Temecula. It is open Monday-Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Items offered at the location include coffee and specialty espresso beverages, as well as smoothies, sandwiches, and a variety of other Hawaiian products and Maui Wowi merchandise. The store offers free Wi-Fi, a large sitting area with sofas and arm chairs, and a laidback atmosphere that caters to all ages.
