Owners Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

August 20, 2012 • Glen Ellyn, IL - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened its doors in Glen Ellyn on August 1. Franchise owners Raj Patel and Bud Patel held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, August 1 to Sunday, August 5 to support Glen Bard South High School and Glen Bard West High School Boosters.

The new restaurant, located at 711 E. Roosevelt Road, circulated 20,000 coupons throughout the community and through the mail, offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Glen Bard South High School and Glen Bard West High School Boosters.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike’s continued its steady growth in 2011 opening 69 new restaurants throughout the country, a 15 percent increase overall. The popular sub shop wins best sub awards in virtually every market it enters.

This is the 2nd Jersey Mike’s location for Bud Patel who is co-owner of the Jersey Mike’s in Lombard.
