Dickey's Barbecue Pit is Heating Up Utah With Double Celebrations

Franchise Celebrates Two Grand Opening Events

SALT LAKE CITY, Oct. 3, 2012 // PRNewswire // -- Dickey's Barbecue, the largest barbecue chain in the country, is throwing two hot parties in Utah to celebrate the grand openings of its restaurants in Draper and South Jordan. Dickey's Barbecue Pit operates eleven Utah locations, is planning to add at least eight more restaurants in the state by the end of the year.

"We've had remarkable growth in Utah," said Roland Dickey, Jr., president of Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. "Utah has embraced our authentic and unique barbecue concept and is ready for more!"

On Thursday, October 4, Dickey's in South Jordan, located at 689 W South Jordan Parkway will be offering $1 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The second event is on Friday, October 5 at the Dickey's in Draper, located at 163 East, 13800 S and Bangerter Hwy E-6, near Harmon's Grocery. This event will be held from 12p.m. to 2 p.m. and customers will enjoy $1 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches.

"There aren't many things you can get for a dollar anymore," said John Thomson, multi-unit owner with locations across Utah and Dickey's Area Developer for the state of Utah. "We're offering an amazing deal at these events to celebrate with the local communities. Our Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwich is piled high with our signature slow smoked pulled pork and for only a dollar it's a real steal."

Since 1941, the world's largest barbecue franchise has offered free kids meals every Sunday and affordable family packs designed to bring the whole family together for dinner. Family packs come with a choice of two meats, three medium sides, six rolls and Dickey's famous barbecue sauce.

About Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants

Dickey's Barbecue was founded by Travis Dickey with the goal of authentic slow smoked barbecue. More than 70 years later, the Dallas-based family run barbecue franchise still offers a quality selection of signature meats, home style sides, tangy barbecue sauce and free kids meals every Sunday. All meats are slow smoked on site in each restaurant. The fast-casual family-friendly concept has expanded to over 250 locations in 43 states and holds the title of the world's largest barbecue franchise. This year Nation's Restaurant News named Dickey's "Top Five Growth Chains" and they were also named "Best Franchise Deal" by QSR Magazine.
