Dickey's Now Serving Mouthwatering Pit Smoked Barbecue in Kenosha

World's Largest Barbecue Franchise Opens Newest Wisconsin Location

KENOSHA, Wis., Oct. 22, 2012 /PRNewswire - New franchise owner Bill Zimmerman is excited to be bringing authentic pit-smoked barbecue to Kenosha this fall. On Thursday, October 25 the new location will open at 11 a.m. and the first 100 customers will receive a free Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwich.

"I am excited about bringing something new to the Kenosha area," said local owner Bill Zimmerman. "I can't wait to see the reaction of our customers when they try our mouthwatering barbecue for the first time."

Zimmerman spent the last 22 years in sales and management for a national truck leasing company. He lives in Union Grove with his wife Kris, a school teacher in Racine, and his two daughters.

This new smokin' hot location is in the old Quiznos location at 11880 74th Place, at the intersection of I-94 and Highway 50 across from Woodman's. The store phone number is 262-287-9889. Dickey's is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Neller Hamlin is the manager and Dan Briese is the assistant manager of this location.

"There's no restaurant in the area with our menu selection of great, on-site pit smoked barbecue at such reasonable prices," said Zimmerman.

Dickey's hickory smokes their signature meats overnight in a pit in each location, offering beef brisket, pulled pork, chicken, polish sausage and much more. A full line of fresh sides are available, including cole slaw, barbecue beans, potato salad and French fries.
