World's Largest Barbecue Franchise Celebrates in Bastrop, TX

BASTROP, Texas, Nov. 7, 2012 // PRNewswire // - On Friday, November 9, Dickey's Barbecue Pit in Bastrop will be throwing a grand opening celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Customers will enjoy $1 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches and three lucky customers will walk away with vouchers for free barbecue for an entire year.

"We're excited to be serving authentic pit smoked barbecue to Bastrop," said franchise owner Kress Childs. "There is a lack of authentic barbecue in the area and we are proud to giving the community something truly unique and delicious."

Childs has been in the catering business for 20 years. Max Gonzales is the general manager for this location and he also offers over 20 years' experience in restaurant management. Both Childs and Gonzales are eager to celebrate with the community this week.
