Dickey’s Offers $1 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue Sandwiches

World’s Largest Barbecue Franchise Hosts Grand Opening Celebration on Friday

COMMERCE TOWNSHIP, Mich. - Jan. 22, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Dickey’s franchise owners Peggy and Joe Anicka have enjoyed serving the Commerce Township community slow, pit smoked barbecue. On Friday, January 25 Dickey's will be offering $1 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in honor of their grand opening celebration.

“There are so many wonderful people in this community and we couldn't think of a better place to own a business,” said local owner Peggy Anicka. “Our kids grew up here and we’ve spent the last 10 years volunteering in their schools and on their sports teams.”

Joe, who served as park officer for the State of Michigan, has also worked for 25 years in restaurants. Peggy has 15 years of restaurant experience and also spends her time giving back to the community through volunteer work. Kim Smart is the general manager for this location and she also brings 25 years of restaurant experience to the team.

“At our Grand Opening event, we will be drawing for a prize of free barbecue for a year,” said Peggy Anicka. “We’ll choose three lucky winners, so come join the party and satisfy your barbecue craving.”

99.5 WYCD Detroit’s Country will be at the event playing all your favorite country songs. Customers can enjoy the celebration at 4825 Carroll Lake Road, about one mile west of Huron Valley Hospital in between Leo's Coney Island and 7-Eleven. The store phone number is 248-360-4055.
