East Coast Sub Sensation Opens First Location in Van Nuys

January 28, 2013 // Franchising.com // VAN NUYS, Calif. – Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened its doors in Van Nuys on January 9. Franchise owners Leonard Babaie and Daniel Markel held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, January 9 to Sunday, January 13 to support St. Francis de Sales Catholic School Scholarship Program, Notre Dame High School Scholarship Program, and Van Nuys High School Athletic Department

The new restaurant, located at 14441 Burbank Boulevard, circulated 9,000 coupons throughout the community, offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to St. Francis de Sales Catholic School Scholarship Program, Notre Dame High School Scholarship Program, and Van Nuys High School Athletic Department. Each school will be designated 3,000 coupons for donations to their respective programs.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011. The popular sub shop wins best sub awards in virtually every market it enters.
