Express Employment Professionals Head Robert A. Funk Named Oklahoma’s Most Admired CEO

OKLAHOMA CITY - Feb. 15, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Express Employment Professionals today announced that Chairman of the Board and CEO Robert A. “Bob” Funk has been named Oklahoma’s Most Admired CEO of a private company by The Journal Record, a leading Oklahoma City business publication. Funk, who was recognized for his role in co-founding Express in 1983 and growing it into the largest privately held U.S. staffing company, received the honor at a Feb. 12 awards ceremony at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum in Oklahoma City.

Funk said he was honored to have been selected as the 2013 recipient of the prestigious annual award.

“I have built my career on the simple notion that everyone deserves to experience the satisfaction and self-esteem that comes from being engaged in meaningful work,” said Funk. “My greatest joy as CEO of Express has been that we have helped nearly 5 million people find employment during the past three decades and that our franchisees have achieved the dream of owning their own business.
