World’s Largest Barbecue Franchise Serves Free Sandwiches at Newest Louisiana Location

COVINGTON, La. - Feb. 26, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Dickey’s Barbecue Pit will open in Covington on Thursday, February 28 at 11 a.m. The locally owned and operated barbecue restaurant will be serving the first 100 guests a free Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwich.

“I’ve always wanted to own my own restaurant,” said new franchise owner Alex Hill. “I felt that Dickey's offered the most compelling menu and the brand really embodies the importance of good food and family time.”

Prior to owning a Dickey's, Hill was with Hyatt Hotels for 18 years, including 5 years as the Corporate Director of Food and Beverage. Together with his wife Lindsay, they are excited to raise their 2-year old son Jack in the Mandeville/Covington area.
