World’s Largest Barbecue Franchise Hosts Grand Opening in Minnesota

MANKATO, Minn. - Feb. 28, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - This Thursday, February 28 Dickey’s Barbecue Pit is throwing a smokin’ hot celebration at the main intersection of Madison Avenue and Victory Boulevard in Mankato. Guests will enjoy $1 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwich from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

“Paula and I have had a great experience opening a Dickey's location in Mankato,” said franchise owner Paul Bertino who owns and operates this location along with his wife Paula. “We work with a great group of people that enjoy serving Dickey's brand of barbecue. Prior to owning a Dickey’s, Paul held positions in sales, marketing and product management with Johnson & Johnson, Avery Dennison and Hickory Tech. Paula had a career as a programmer and software developer with Parker Hannifin, Brown Printing and Superior Edge.
