Donate two books at any Valley Cold Stone location to receive a FREE Like It Creation™ now through March 20

March 08, 2013 // // PHOENIX – The Phoenix Suns Wives organization has teamed up with Cold Stone Creamery® to hold their annual book drive, taking place at Cold Stone locations valley-wide, now through March 20. Suns fans are encouraged to participate in the book drive and receive a FREE Cold Stone Creamery creation by donating new or gently used children’s and young adult books to any Cold Stone location throughout the Valley. For each donation of two or more books, fans will receive a complimentary Like It Creation™ with one mix-in.

The Phoenix Suns Wives’ book drive will culminate on Sunday, March 24, when the Suns take on the San Antonio Spurs at US Airways Center. Members of the Suns Wives will collect donations at each entrance to the arena, where fans will receive one raffle ticket per book donated and will be entered to win one of five Suns’ prize packages. Each package includes a meet and greet with one of the following Suns’ players: Goran Dragic, Jared Dudley, Marcin Gortat, Wesley Johnson or Luis Scola. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m., with doors scheduled to open at 5 p.m.

All donated books will go to local non-profit organizations to supply children in need with reading materials as part of the Suns Wives’ early literacy program.

The Suns Wives organization is comprised of the significant others of the players, coaches, basketball operations staff and senior management. The Suns Wives strive to make a difference in the lives of families and children by volunteering time, energy and resources to various charitable organizations throughout the Valley.

Single-game tickets are still available for the Suns-Spurs game on March 24. Fans can purchase theirs today at or by calling 1-800-4NBA-TIX. -
