Huddle House Appoints Veteran Franchise Attorney, Melissa Rothring, to General Counsel

March 13, 2013 // Franchising.com // ATLANTA - Huddle House CEO, Michael Abt, has announced the newest addition to his leadership team, Melissa Rothring, who will serve as General Counsel.

"Melissa’s franchise knowledge mixed with her experience in multi-brand retail and QSR franchise brands made her the ideal for this position," Abt said. "Melissa joins our growing executive team with a wealth of experience, which we will rely upon to further advance our efforts and strategies."

As General Counsel for the 400-unit brand, Rothring will be responsible for the overall legal support and legal strategic planning for Huddle House, as well as maintaining legal continuity in franchising business analysis and management.

Prior to joining Huddle House, Rothring had a 19-year career which included leadership positions with several top franchise brands. Most recently she served as Vice President, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for GFG Management, LLC, an Atlanta-based, multi-brand retail and QSR franchisor/licensor of Great American Cookies, MaggieMoo’s, Marble Slab Creamery, Pretzel Time, Pretzelmaker, Shoebox New York and The Athlete’s Foot.
