Maui Wowi Hawaiian Rolls into Downtown East Peoria for the Levee District Grand Opening

The new Levee District community center celebrates its grand opening, inviting local Maui Wowi Hawaiian business owner to be a vendor at the event, serving all-natural fresh fruit smoothies.

Greenwood Village, Colo. (PRWEB) March 13, 2013 - Maui Wowi Hawaiian in Peoria, Illinois joins in the festivities to celebrate the highly anticipated Grand Opening of the new downtown shopping area known as the Levee District on Saturday, March 16. The coffee and smoothie franchise, owned by Bryon Griffin, will be operating a mobile event cart, serving one-of-a-kind smoothies made from all-natural ingredients.

As a member of the East Peoria Chamber of Commerce, Griffin was referred to the developer of the Levee District project and was asked to be the premier smoothie vendor at the event. “This event will bring residents of Peoria and East Peoria together and as a local business owner, I am honored to have the opportunity to be a part of theLevee DistrictGrand Opening,” said Griffin.

Griffin says he strives to keep his business active in the community, while continuing to run a café style store location just minutes away from the Levee District off of N. Knoxville. His permanent presence in Peoria offers customers an ideal place to enjoy the entire line of Maui Wowi beverages, including fresh roasted Hawaiian coffees, espresso, and fresh fruit smoothies. The location also serves as a great venue for meetings, study groups, and other events.

The Levee District is an 86 acre facility that includes retail, restaurants, hotels, and offices, making it a first class community destination. A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on Friday, March 15 and the Grand Opening will be held on Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Griffin will be blending smoothies at his tiki themed cart on Saturday. The whole community is encouraged to attend this long awaited celebration.

In addition to the Maui Wowi café at 9901-A N. Knoxville, the mobile event cart will be traveling around Peoria spreading the Aloha spirit at local elementary school carnivals, as well as at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington for concerts including Kid Rock, Carrie Underwood, and Third Day.
