DALLAS - April 3, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Dickey’s Barbecue was born and bred in Dallas in 1941. It’s fitting the Texas-based barbecue concept kicks-off its 300th location in its hometown airport. On Tuesday, April 16, Dickey’s Barbecue will open its newest location as part of the first phase of the historic Love Field Modernization Project.

Dallas Love Field Airport is inviting all media to preview the new terminal on April 10 from 10:30 a.m. to noon. Executives from Dickey’s Barbecue including President and CEO Roland Dickey, Jr. and Chairman Roland Dickey will be on site to talk with media about this significant opening. The Love Field Modernization Project is designed to create a cohesive, modern facility that will serve the needs of Dallas citizens and travelers. Dickey’s Barbecue joins an impressive list of local favorites being offered in the new terminal.

The new terminal will replace a large amount of unused and outdated space with modern and efficient facilities. The three original concourses will be demolished and consolidated into one convenient, centrally located concourse for all airlines. In addition, the Love Field Modernization Project (LFMP) will more than double the amount of available airport concessions – yet another tremendous benefit for Love Field customers.
