Owner Celebrates Grand Opening with Free Subs

April 09, 2013 // Franchising.com // Buena Park, CA - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened its doors in Buena Park on March 27. Franchise owner Alvaro Garcia held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, March 27 to Sunday, March 31 to support Walker Junior High School, Buena Park Junior High School, Arthur F. Corey School, and Raymond Temple Elementary School.

The new restaurant, located at 5974 Orangethorpe Avenue, circulated 1,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Walker Junior High School, Buena Park Junior High School, Arthur F. Corey School, and Raymond Temple Elementary School. In addition, each school will receive 3,000 flyers that contain four separate offers. For each offer redeemed, Jersey Mike’s will donate $2 to the respective school. The school to raise the most total money will receive an additional $1,500 donation from Jersey Mike’s.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

Most recently, Garcia opened a Jersey Mike’s location in Santa Monica on January 30.
