Nation’s Largest Barbecue Concept Hosts Customer Appreciation Event

DURHAM, N.C. - April 23, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Dickey’s Barbecue Pit in the Triangle is hosting a customer appreciation event to celebrate 5 years of serving mouthwatering barbecue to the community. On Thursday, April 25 at 11:00 a.m., Dickey’s in Durham, Downtown Raleigh, and in Cary will offer free Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches until 2 p.m. as a thank you to loyal customers.

“We’ve been so fortunate to be part of the lives of this community for the last 5 years,” said Greg Woloszczuk, President GMW Carolina, Inc., local franchise owner of three Dickey’s Barbecue locations in the Triangle. “From helping cater at weddings, family reunions, business meetings and fund raising, we appreciate all of their support. We’re providing an incredible deal for lunch and dinner to thank our customers and welcome new ones.”

For dinner on April 25, all three locations will also offer a choice of two Big Barbecue Sandwiches or the premium Westerner Sandwich for the price of one between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. In addition, the Durham location will have radio station 94.7 QDR on site from 11:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. giving away a pair of tickets to Tim McGraw as well as other prizes.

“We’re also offering a 5% bonus to any non-profit group that books a fund raising event with us by the end of May to be held in 2013,” said partner, Maureen Woloszczuk. We’ve helped raise over $5,000 this last year for numerous organizations and hope to raise even more this year.”

Full details of the event are available on the local Facebook page. Dickey’s Barbecue in Durham opened in 2008 and was the second location in North Carolina. There are currently 12 locations in North Carolina.
