Jersey Mike's Subs to Open in Pinellas Park
Owner Celebrates Grand Opening with Free Subs
May 1, 2013 - Pinellas Park, FL - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened its doors in Pinellas Park on April 24. Franchise owner James Connolly held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, April 24 to Sunday, April 28 to support the American Heart and Stroke Association in partnership with Northside Hospital.
The new restaurant, located at 7066 US Highway 19 North, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to American Heart and Stroke Association in partnership with Northside Hospital.
Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.
James Connolly exemplifies Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.
“This grand opening is a great opportunity to continue our partnership with the American Heart and Stroke Association,” said Connolly. “Last June we had the chance to team up for our grand opening in St. Petersburg and we are happy to be supporting this organization once again. In addition, this new location will allow us to create even more relationships within the community which is something that is important to me as a business owner. In fact, Jersey Mike’s commitment to giving back is what attracted me to this company in the first place.”
Passionate Jersey Mike's fans crave their subs made Mike's Way™ with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature blend of olive oil, red wine vinegar and spices. The company uses only private labeled meats and cheeses that are sliced fresh for each sub sandwich and piled high on in-store baked bread. Everything is quickly made to order for each customer, just the way the first subs were made at the original Jersey Mike's more than fifty years ago. The Jersey Mike’s experience always includes its trademark neighborly banter served up by a high-energy Jersey Mike’s team.
This is James Connolly’s second Jersey Mike’s location. In June 2012, he opened his first Jersey Mike’s location in St. Petersburg.
