Owner Celebrates Grand Opening with Free Subs

Altus. OK - May 1, 2013  - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened its doors in Altus on May 1. Franchise owner Tyrone Muldowney held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, May 1 to Sunday, May 5 to support the Altus School district.

The new restaurant, located at 2221 N. Main Street, circulated 5,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Altus Schools.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

Tyrone Muldowney exemplifies Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

This is Muldowney’s second Jersey Mike’s location. In April 2011, he opened his first Jersey Mike’s in Lawton.
