Owners Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

Myrtle Beach, SC - May 1, 2013 - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened a new location in Myrtle Beach on May 1. Franchise owners Philippe and Jean Saad held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, May 1 to Sunday, May 5 to support the American Red Cross.

The new restaurant, located at 2602 N. Kings Highway, will circulate 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the American Red Cross.

As one of the nation’s premier humanitarian organizations, the American Red Cross is dedicated to helping people in need throughout the United States and, in association with other Red Cross networks, throughout the world. They depend on the many generous contributions of time, blood, and money from the American public to support their lifesaving services and programs.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

The Saad brothers exemplify Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised more than $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

This is the fourth Jersey Mike’s location for Philippe Saad and Jean Saad. They entered the Jersey Mike’s system in February 2006 when they purchased an existing location in North Myrtle Beach. The Saads went on to open an additional location in Myrtle Beach in July 2008. In mid April of this year, the Saads opened a Jersey Mike’s location on 102-B Loyola Drive in Myrtle Beach.
