Jersey Mike's Subs Opens First Martinez Location

Owners Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

Augusta/Martinez, GA - May 1, 2013 - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened its doors in Martinez on April 24. Franchise owners Eric Clark and Jason Wren held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, April 24 to Sunday, April 28 to support the Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation.

The new restaurant, located at 403 Fury's Ferry Road, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation.

The Southeastern Firefighters Burn Foundation provides assistance to families of burn patients being treated at the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta. This includes lodging at the Chavis House, daily meals and transportation - all free of charge. In addition, the Burn Foundation assists patients upon their discharge with services related to their return to independent living. This includes medication, anti-scarring garments, and transportation for follow up medical visits.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

This is the second Jersey Mike’s location for Eric Clark and Jason Wren. In October 2011, they opened their first Jersey Mike’s location in Grovetown.
