Matt and Carla Chorley Are Ready to Bring Authentic Barbecue to Their Community

FREDERICK, Md. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - New Dickey’s Barbecue Pit owners Matt and Carla Chorley are happy to announce the opening of their Frederick location. The new barbecue restaurant will open on Thursday, May 16, at 11 a.m., and the first 100 customers will receive a free Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwich.

“I’ve always loved barbecue and I became hooked on the concept when I found out Dickey’s slow smokes their meats on-site every day,” said Matt Chorley. “Other fast-serve barbecue franchises are not smoking their products on-site. We definitely appreciate Dickey’s passion for authentic high quality food.”

Matt is originally from Washington State, but has lived in Maryland for the past 16 years. Prior to owning a Dickey’s, he was Senior Director of Operations at biotechnology company ATCC. Carla is originally from Ohio and was previously Director of Operations at SeraCare Life Sciences in Frederick. More recently, Carla has served as a volunteer at the local school while staying home with her children. The Chorleys currently live in Boonsboro but have strong roots in Maryland. For the past 15 years, they’ve both been deeply involved in the Frederick business community.

“We can’t wait to provide top-shelf barbecue meals at fair prices, as well as provide outstanding catering services,” said Chorley.

The new barbecue restaurant is located at 1700 Kingfisher Drive and the store phone is 240-621-5918. Check out the Facebook page for this location and stay on top of all the smokin’ hot happenings. The world’s largest barbecue franchise is excited to be expanding in the area and currently has one location in Gambrills, Maryland.

About Dickey's Barbecue Restaurants

Dickey’s Barbecue was founded by Travis Dickey with the goal of authentic slow smoked barbecue. More than 71 years later, the Dallas-based family run barbecue franchise still offers a quality selection of signature meats, home style sides, tangy barbecue sauce and free kids meals every Sunday. All meats are slow smoked on site in each restaurant. The fast-casual family-friendly concept has expanded to over 300 locations in 43 states and holds the title of the world’s largest barbecue franchise. This year Technomic named Dickey’s “Fastest-growing restaurant in the country,” and they were also named “Best Franchise Deal” by QSR Magazine.
