Maui Wowi Introduces New Franchisee in Greensboro, North Carolina

New Franchisee, Karen Nixon, transitions out of the corner office and into the tiki hut as a Maui Wowi Hawaiian Franchise Operator. She has made the decision to become closer to her family with a business where she calls the shots.

A career of over 20 years in the financial services industry meant constant travel and time away from her two children. It also taught Nixon a lot about the importance of a solid foundation and how to build one from the ground up. After life threw her a curve ball and the chapter on her corporate career ended, Nixon opened up to the idea of owning her own business because it would allow more time with her family.

“The idea of franchising made so much sense because it’s already a proven system that works. I was looking for something I could build with my family that was simple, profitable, dependable and fun. Maui Wowi is every one of those!” said Nixon.

Nixon is determined and ready to hit the ground running with amobile event unitcalled the Ka’anapali cart, and a catering unit that she will use to work events and private functions throughout her community. Her vision is to grow the business and own additional carts, while working towards opening a fixed unit or kiosk. Most importantly, Nixon is looking forward to involving her children in the business where they can all work together to make it a success and build valuable memories along the way.

Nixon’s hands-on approach to life has taken her to the executive level of business and has now given her a new adventure and opportunity for success on her own terms. Taking command of her future by joining the Maui Wowi ‘ohana, Nixon is ready to bring her vision to fruition and enjoy the ride.
