Maui Wowi Donates To Disaster Relief For Tornado Victims

Maui Wowi Hawaiian will accept donations during its hands-on smoothie training event that will go to the American Red Cross for Disaster Relief and victims of the Oklahoma tornado.

Greenwood Village, Colo. (PRWEB) June 01, 2013 - Maui Wowi Hawaiian is donating 100% of the funds raised during its hands on smoothie training event at the company’s headquarters on Wednesday, June 12, to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief fund for the victims of the Oklahoma tornado. Maui Wowi’s new franchisees will be learning how to prepare the company’s signature smoothies and serving them as part of their week long hands-on training program.

“The devastation that has occurred from this natural disaster is overwhelming and our thoughts are with the people of Oklahoma whose lives have been forever changed,” said Erin Hicks, executive vice president of Maui Wowi Hawaiian. “We would like to provide some hope and Aloha Spirit during this difficult time.”

Maui Wowi’s class of franchisees will be behind the mobile Ka’anapali cart blending fresh fruit smoothies for the public outside its Denver-based office building located in the city’s business district called the Denver Tech Center. The surrounding buildings will be personally invited to attend the event to give the franchisees plenty of experience serving customers, while also collecting voluntary donations for the tornado victims.

Maui Wowi hosts a training class approximately every 6 weeks for new franchisees from all over the world. They receive valuable information that will prepare them to get their business up and running, with continued support along the way. The company’s dedicated staff assists each franchise operator through comprehensive launch programs and also provides a well-rounded support system to help them be successful.

Franchise operators frequently work events referred to as No-Work FUNdraisers to help local schools and other organizations raise money. They serve coffees and smoothies at the event and then donate a percentage of the sales back to the organization.
