Jersey Mike's Subs Opens 2nd Mankato Opening

Owner Celebrates Grand Opening with Free Subs

June 3, 2013 - Mankato, MN - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, opened a second location in Mankato on May 29. Franchise owner Kevin Bores held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, May 29 to Sunday, June 2 to support the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

The new restaurant, located at 500 S. Riverfront Drive, circulated 7,500 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

Kevin Bores exemplifies Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

This is the second Jersey Mike’s location for Kevin Bores. In August 2011, he opened his first Jersey Mike’s also in Mankato at 1924 Adams Street.
