Famous Brands International Celebrates Grand Opening of TCBY and Mrs. Fields Headquarters Stores

Parent company of Legacy Brands gives back to Broomfield Community during weekend-long event.

Denver (PRWEB) June 07, 2013 - Famous Brands International will celebrate the opening of their flagship The Country’s Best Yogurt (TCBY) and Mrs. Fields Cookies stores at their corporate headquarters in Broomfield, CO., with a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, June 14 followed by a grand opening celebration on Saturday, June 15. The weekend-long event comes one year after Famous Brands International moved their corporate headquarters to the area.

“We are excited to open the doors of our flagship stores to the public,” said Neal Courtney, Interim Chief Executive Officer of Famous Brands International. “Not only will these stores offer the delicious TCBY and Mrs. Fields products that people love, but they will also serve as the home base for our training center for new franchisees. The location will also house a new world-class research & development facility.”

The grand opening celebration will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 15th, and will feature live entertainment, free giveaways, and fun activities for the whole family. Famous Brands International will be donating 20-percent of all profits from the weekend’s sales to the Children's Hospital Colorado Foundation. Famous Brands International is inviting the entire extended community to come out and share in the fun.

A raffle will take place throughout the day with the grand prize of one pair of “Meet & Greet” tickets and floor-level seats to the Justin Bieber “Believe” Tour at Denver’s Pepsi Center on June 30. Seven additional pairs of tickets to the concert will also be raffled. The first 100 people in line will receive free product for a month, and two lucky people will win free product for a year. Local school clubs and organizations will compete for 10 pairs of tickets and six VIP parking passes to the “American Idol Live!” Tour at Broomfield’s 1st Bank Center on July 10, as well as a $1,500 donation to their group. In addition, there will be a variety of other prizes including iPad Minis, professional sports tickets and t-shirts for the first 1,000 in attendance.

Attendees of the grand opening celebration will be among the first to experience new designs and product offerings of the two legacy brands. Frozen yogurt fans can choose from dozens of flavors at the flagship TCBY location, which features the self-serve concept introduced by the brand in 2011. The re-designed Mrs. Fields flagship store, the first of its kind in the country, includes a brand new chocolate bar, offering hot and cold drinks made from indulgent 100-percent hand-picked African cacao beans.

The new location boasts a state-of-the-art research and development (R&D) test kitchen and flavor lab for both iconic brands. In the stores, guests will be able to experience flavors and product concepts first before they are introduced to stores and customers around the country. This provides the customer with a unique flavor-tasting experience they cannot get anywhere else.

“Product and flavor innovation is a cornerstone of our corporate location,” said Dustin Finkel, Senior Director, Franchise Marketing & Innovation for Famous Brands International. “While we love serving our legendary cookie and frozen yogurt products, we also understand the importance of continuously providing new products and flavors that meet the desires of our franchisees and their customers. Our new flagship stores will allow us to both innovate quickly, as well as share those new products with our customers.”

The flagship stores are located on the first floor of Famous Brands International’s corporate headquarters in the Arista complex located at 8001 Arista Place, Suite 600, in Broomfield, CO. The ribbon cutting for the new flagship locations will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday, June 14.
