Dickey’s is Heating Things up All over Sacramento

Mr. Dickey Drops by the New Dickey’s Barbecue in Sacramento

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - (BUSINESS WIRE) - In honor of his new store off of Natomas Boulevard, Dickey’s multi-unit owner, Jared Katzenbarger, is throwing a massive celebration on Friday, June 28. Roland Dickey, chairman of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. will be at the event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. giving away 50 copies of his new book, “Mr. Dickey’s Barbecue Cookbook.”

“We’re excited that Dickey’s is expanding in California,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president and CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “We’re happy the West Coast has embraced our authentic slow smoked barbecue.”

98 Rock radio station will be at the event to entertain the crowd. Not only will this location be serving $2 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches all day, but the six other locations in the greater Sacramento area will also be participating. This includes Dickey’s in Roseville, Elk Grove, Folsom, Jackson, Lodi, and Modesto.

“I am excited to celebrate with the local community on Friday,” said Katzenbarger. “I can’t wait to give three customers barbecue for a year.”

Starting July 1, all participating Dickey’s will be offering a new menu item, the Racetrack Sandwich. Dickey’s Racetrack Sandwich features tender beef brisket and flavorful slow smoked pulled pork topped with tangy barbecue sauce and creamy coleslaw, all featured on Dickey’s new signature bread.
