Nation’s Fastest Growing Chain Celebrates in Mountain View

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - June 28, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Dickey’s Barbecue opened in Mountain View in April and has become a local favorite. This new location will hold a grand opening event on Friday, June 28 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. where customers will enjoy $1 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches.

“Over the past few months, we’ve rapidly expanded in California,” said Roland Dickey, Jr., president and CEO of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc. “Our authentic pit-smoked barbecue has become a favorite on the West Coast, and we can’t wait to add more locations.”

The Mountain View location is owned and operated by Alice Kao and Robert Edwards. Kao is originally from Taiwan, and Edwards is from Visalia, California. The barbecue duo both have a passion for food and have always wanted to own their own restaurant.

Starting July 1, all participating Dickey’s will be offering the Racetrack Sandwich for a limited time. Dickey’s Racetrack Sandwich features tender beef brisket and flavorful, slow-smoked pulled pork topped with tangy barbecue sauce and creamy coleslaw, all featured on Dickey’s new signature bread.
