Owners Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

July 11, 2013 - Tulsa, OK - Jersey Mike's Subs will make its highly-awaited entrance into the Tulsa market next week when it officially introduces its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs to two new locations on the same day. Franchise owners Charlie Brown and Troy Redmon will each hold a grand opening on Wednesday July 10 and free sub fundraisers from that day through Sunday, July 14.

The new restaurants, located at 8216 E. 71st Street and 10912 S. Memorial Drive will each circulate 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to their respective charity organization. The 71st Street location will be accepting donations to the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and the Memorial Drive location will be accepting donations to Domestic Violence Intervention Services/Call Rape.

The Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma solicits and distributes donated food to 450 Partner Programs in 24 counties of Eastern Oklahoma. These programs include emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, homeless shelters, after-school programs, and senior citizen centers. Nearly half of the food that is distributed to the hungry by these agencies comes from the Food Bank and together they feed more than 70,000 people per week.

Domestic Violence Intervention Services, Inc. (DVIS)/Call Rape, is a Tulsa Area United Way agency and is the only nonprofit agency in Tulsa, Oklahoma and the surrounding communities to provide comprehensive intervention and prevention services to men, women and children affected by domestic and sexual violence. The DVIS/Call Rape mission is to rebuild lives affected by domestic violence and sexual assault through advocacy, shelter, counseling, and education.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.
