Owner Celebrates Grand Opening with Free Subs

July 11, 2013 - Santa Ana, CA - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened its doors in Santa Ana on July 10. Franchise owner Alvaro Garcia held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, July 10 to Sunday, July 14 to support the South Coast Children’s Society and the Living The Dream Foundation.

The new restaurant, located at 3941 S. Bristol Street, circulated 3,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the South Coast Children’s Society and the Living The Dream Foundation.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

Garcia exemplifies Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

This is the 13th Jersey Mike’s location for Alvaro Garcia. In June 2011, he opened his first Jersey Mike’s location in Rancho Cucamonga. Garcia also owns Jersey Mike’s locations in Fountain Valley, Costa Mesa, La Verne, Glendora, Upland, Marina del Rey, Long Beach, Culver City, and Santa Monica. Most recently, Garcia opened a Jersey Mike’s location in Upland on May 29.
