Owner Celebrates Grand Opening with Free Subs

August 2, 2013 - HOUSTON, - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled East Coast-style subs, officially opened its doors in Houston on July 31. Franchise owner Terry Nordenstrom held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, July 31 to Sunday, August 4 to support D. Bradley McWilliams YMCA.

The new restaurant, located at 11560 FM 1960 West (at the intersection of Fallbrook and FM 1960 Road West) circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to D. Bradley McWilliams YMCA.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

Nordenstrom exemplifies Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Passionate Jersey Mike's fans crave their subs made Mike's Way™ with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature blend of olive oil, red wine vinegar and spices. The company uses only private labeled meats and cheeses that are sliced fresh for each sub sandwich and piled high on in-store baked bread. Everything is quickly made to order for each customer, just the way the first subs were made at the original Jersey Mike's more than fifty years ago. This is Nordenstrom’s fourth Jersey Mike’s location. In February 2012, he opened his first location in Houston at 1635 Eldridge Parkway. Most recently in February, he opened a location at 8001 South Main Street in Houston. Nordenstrom has plans to continue expanding in the greater Houston area in 2013.
