Nation’s Largest Barbecue Franchise Hosts Grand Opening with Roland Dickey

SAVANNAH, Ga. - August 12, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Dickey’s Barbecue in Savannah is celebrating its grand opening on Friday, August 16 in the Savannah Commons Shopping Center. The barbecue restaurant will celebrate with $1 Pulled Pork Big Barbecue sandwiches and a special appearance by Roland Dickey, Sr., the chairman of Dickey’s Barbecue Restaurants, Inc.

“We’re excited to have Roland Dickey here to celebrate our grand opening,” said multi-unit owner Ray DuBois who also owns the Dickey’s in Pooler. “It’s an honor to have Mr. Dickey here -- I know guests will enjoy meeting him.”

On Friday, the grand opening celebration will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Mr. Dickey will be signing and handing out 100 free copies of his book, “Mr. Dickey’s Barbecue Cookbook – Recipes From a True Texas Pit Master.” Big Mac from KIX 96 will be there to entertain the crowds.
