Owners Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

August 9, 2013 - DANVILLE, Calif. – Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, officially opened its doors in Danville on August 7. Friends and now business partners, David, Cody, and Bennett Ball, Michael and Beverly Mills, and Travis Chance held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, August 7 to Sunday, August 11 to support the Taylor Family Foundation.

The new restaurant, located at 301 Hartz Avenue, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Taylor Family Foundation.

The Taylor Family Foundation's Mission is to preserve the wellness and enhance the quality of life for children in Northern California living with life-threatening and chronic illnesses, developmental disabilities and youth at-risk through unique therapeutic experiences and support.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

“It only took one sandwich for us to all agree that Jersey Mike’s offers the most authentic sub out there,” said Bennett Ball. “Then, after visiting the store in Solana Beach we were completely sold on the entire experience. Jersey Mike’s is all about making great food and making people happy and that is something we all wanted to be a part of. So far it has been so much fun learning more about the culture at the Jersey Shore and meeting so many people who are excited for a taste of east coast cuisine.”
