Operators Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

August 9, 2013 - PARKLAND, Fla. – Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, officially opened its doors in Parkland on August 7. Restaurant operators Scott Coleman and Melissa Perry held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, August 7 to Sunday, August 11 to support Tomorrow’s Rainbow.

The new restaurant, located at 7011 N State Road 7, circulated 5,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $2 contribution to Tomorrow’s Rainbow.

The mission at Tomorrow's Rainbow is to provide grieving children, teens and their families an emotionally safe environment for hope and healing through guidance, education, and support.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

Coleman and Perry exemplify Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects restaurant operators who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

“Through our five day grand opening fundraiser we have the chance to partner with a wonderful organization that helps children who are grieving the loss of a loved one,” said Coleman. “With the money we raise at Jersey Mike’s, we will help fund peer support and therapeutic play programs that will benefit the many children at Tomorrow’s Rainbow.
