East Coast Sub Sensation Opens First Location in Lake Elsinore

Owners Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

August 21, 2013 - LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. – Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, officially opened its doors in Lake Elsinore on August 14. Franchise owners Alexander and Tanya Ilic held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, August 14 to Sunday, August 18 to support Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest County.

The new restaurant, located at 31800 Grape Street, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest County.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

The Ilics exemplify Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

“After trying our first Jersey Mike’s sub we were hooked,” said Mr. Ilic. “It was the best sandwich Tanya and I ever had and we knew that we wanted to be a part of this business. For our grand opening, we have teamed up with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southwest County to help give back to local children. Our family is very excited for this opportunity to make a difference in the community and we hope everyone will join us when we open our doors on August 14.”

Passionate Jersey Mike's fans crave their subs made Mike's Way™ with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature olive oil blend, vinegar and spices. The company uses only private labeled meats and cheeses that are sliced fresh for each sub sandwich and piled high on in-store baked bread.
