Miss Hooters International to Throw Out First Pitch at Cincinnati Reds Game

Newly Crowned Hooters Girl Marissa Raisor Takes the Mound for Hooters

ATLANTA - Sept. 6, 2013 - (BUSINESS WIRE) - Hooters of America, LLC, today announced that Miss Hooters International 2013 Marissa Raisor will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the Cincinnati Reds game tonight at the Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati, Ohio. Raisor, a 20-year-old Shelbyville, Ky., native was crowned during the 30th Anniversary Hooters International Swimsuit Pageant held earlier this year. Fans can follow Raisor’s first pitch experience through her Twitter account, @MissHootersIntl.

“I’m a huge sports fan, so throwing out the first pitch at a professional baseball game is something most people only dream of,” said Raisor, who has worked at the Hooters of Newport, Ky., for two years. “I am so proud to be an ambassador for Hooters, especially as we celebrate the iconic brand’s 30th anniversary. I’m enjoying the opportunity to be involved in such a variety of wonderful events across the country.”

As part of her role as Miss Hooters International, the Northern Kentucky University marketing major serves as a spokesperson for the iconic brand and has been involved in a number of events since stepping into her new role. Raisor recently helped generate buzz for National Chicken Wing Day, making an appearance on Fox & Friends in New York City and announcing Joey Chestnut as the 2013 Hooters World Wing-Eating Champion during the finale competition at the Original Hooters of Clearwater. She was also invited to be a part of the cast of Adam Sandler’s latest movie, “Blended,” that was filmed at the Hooters of Lawrenceville, Ga. Raisor also modeled in the V Fashion Show as part of the Jimmy V Celebrity Golf Classic festivities in Raleigh, N.C., to raise money for The V Foundation.

In addition to representing Hooters, Raisor will also be featured in Hooters Magazine, the Hooters Calendar and in national promotions and campaigns for Hooters.

The Reds will play the Los Angeles Dodgers tonight and Raisor’s first pitch will take place shortly before the game begins at 7:10 p.m. ET.
