Jersey Mike's Subs Opens in Marlton

Owners Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

September 13, 2013 - MARLTON, N.J. - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, officially opened its doors in Marlton on September 11. Franchise owners John Helm and Matt Catania held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, September 11 to Sunday, September 15 to support Cherokee High School.

The new restaurant, located at 908 Route 73 North, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Cherokee High School.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

Helm and Catania exemplify Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

“Matt and I are extremely excited to become a part of the Marlton community and begin our relationship with Cherokee High School during our grand opening fundraiser,” said Helm. “Everyone here has been so welcoming to us and we are excited to build and grow alongside such a great community."

Passionate Jersey Mike's fans crave their subs made Mike's Way™ with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature olive oil blend, vinegar and spices. The company uses only private labeled meats and cheeses that are sliced fresh for each sub sandwich and piled high on in-store baked bread. Everything is quickly made to order for each customer, just the way the first subs were made at the original Jersey Mike's more than fifty years ago. The Jersey Mike’s experience always includes its trademark neighborly banter served up by a high-energy Jersey Mike’s team.

This is the sixth Jersey Mike’s location for John Helm and Matt Catania. In March 2005, they opened their first Jersey Mike’s in Brick and went on to open another Brick location in 2008. Helm and Catania also own Jersey Mike’s locations in Cinnaminson, Moorestown, and Cherry Hill.

Store hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., seven days a week. You can contact this store directly at (856) 983-3047.
