Owners Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

September 19, 2013 - BEE CAVE, Texas - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, officially opened its doors in Bee Cave on September 18. Franchise owners Steve and Yvonne Cullen held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, September 18 to Sunday, September 22 to support Helping Hand Home for Children.

The new restaurant, located at 4005 Market Street, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to Helping Hand Home for Children.

Helping Hand Home provides residential treatment services, therapeutic foster care, adoption services, and an on-site charter school for emotionally disturbed children. They are a private, non-profit 501(c)(3) organization located in Austin, Texas licensed by the State of Texas, and governed by the membership of the Helping Hand Society. For 120 years, Helping Hand Home for Children has provided a place to heal for abused, neglected and abandoned children.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

The Cullens exemplify Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

This is the fourth Jersey Mike’s location for the Cullens. In August 2003, they opened their first Jersey Mike’s location in Austin and they have opened two additional locations in Austin since then.
