Owners Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

September 19, 2013 - FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich. - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, officially opened its doors in Farmington Hills on September 18. Franchise owners Robert Middleton, Bill Biga, and Carl Chandler held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, September 18 to Sunday, September 22 to support the Farmington Hills Police Benevolent Association.

The new restaurant, located at 33220 West 12 Mile Road, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Farmington Hills Police Benevolent Association.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

Middleton, Biga, and Chandler exemplify Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

We are so grateful to the men and women in our Police and Fire Departments that we felt a strong desire to give back in this meaningful way.”

Biga added, “The Farmington Hills Benevolent Fund works with the Public Safety Department, the Police and Fire Departments of Farmington Hills, and the Franklin Police Department to raise funds to assist public safely personnel, their families and members of the general public during times of death, illness or personal crisis. We are honored to be associated with these great men and women who serve our communities.”

This is the third Jersey Mike’s location for Middleton, Biga, and Chandler. In September 2012, they opened their first Jersey Mike’s in Shelby Township and went on to open an additional location in Rochester Hills in November 2012.
