Owners Celebrate Grand Opening with Free Subs

September 13, 2013 - PFLUGERVILLE, Texas - Jersey Mike’s Subs, known for its fresh sliced/fresh grilled Jersey Shore-style subs, opened in Pflugerville on September 11. Franchise owners Jason Odom and Chris Cho held a grand opening and free sub fundraiser from Wednesday, September 11 to Sunday, September 15 to support the Boys and Girls Club of the Austin Area.

The new restaurant, located at 1608 Town Center Drive, circulated 10,000 coupons throughout the community offering a free regular sub for a minimum $1 contribution to the Boys and Girls Club of the Austin Area.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike's continued its steady growth in 2012 opening 92 new restaurants throughout the country, a 33 percent increase in new store growth over 2011.

Odom and Cho exemplify Jersey Mike’s quest for excellence as it selects franchise owners who share the company's commitment to quality products and exceptional customer service and who are dedicated to giving back to the local community. Since 2010, locations throughout the country have raised almost $7 million for worthy local charities and distributed more than 500,000 free sub sandwiches to help numerous causes.

“To add to that, the culture of giving back to the local community is something that is at the forefront of what Jersey Mike’s does and has always been important to me as a business owner. For our grand opening fundraiser we have teamed up with the Boys and Girls Club to give back to our local youth. We plan on continuing to impact our community throughout the year through different fundraisers and events to benefit local organizations,” Odom said.

This is the first Jersey Mike’s location for Odom and Cho.
