ANY LAB TEST NOW® Launches New AmeriDoc® Telemedicine One-Time Consultation Service

Leading provider of direct access lab testing services now offers dial-in and virtual access to physicians for lab results consultation, diagnosis and treatment in non-emergent cases.

Alpharetta, GA (PRWEB) October 04, 2013 - ANY LAB TEST NOW® announced a new, single physician consultation service with its telemedicine services partner, AmeriDoc. This move brings the direct access lab testing company further into the fold of retail healthcare and gives customers access to the experience of a doctor's visit without the hassles, without the need for a monthly membership, a traditional approach in the telemedicine industry. As part of their brand, ANY LAB TEST NOW® is the first organization to introduce customer access to telemedicine as a retail service.

Known for convenience and discretion, ANY LAB TEST NOW® has extended their consumer-based service offering to customers who receive their lab tests results from ANY LAB TEST NOW. Customers can now timely consult with a network physician over the phone or via web video about their lab test results and non-emergent conditions for evaluation, diagnosis and treatment options that may include prescriptions that can be called-in to the customer's pharmacy of choice. After an initial call is made to the AmeriDoc scheduling center and a membership and consultation fee totaling $99 is paid, a call-back from a physician is scheduled at the customer's convenience or in as little as 30 minutes. Though the AmeriDoc service only treats non-emergency level cases, participating physicians are dedicated to providing a thorough health assessment and will refer the customer to their primary care physician or the emergency room if it is determined that an actual visit is necessary.

With the growing trend in pharmacy and grocery retail brands providing quick access health services, the partnership between ANY LAB TEST NOW® and AmeriDoc could not come at a better time while administering a convenient and cost-effective option to the usual doctor's office visit. During the initial conversation with the scheduling center, basic contact information is obtained along with the reason for the call. Information shared with the scheduling center or the physician is not released to any medical board nor insurance company, keeping in line with ANY LAB TEST NOW's® discreet level of service and in compliance with HIPPA.

Additionally, physicians are permitted to prescribe many drugs to include anti-infective, anti-fungal and antihistamines but are restricted from prescribing any narcotics regulated by the DEA or lifestyle drugs such as Cialis and Viagra. AmeriDoc physicians are also able to prescribe maintenance prescriptions for individuals who are away from home. Adult individuals are able to participate in the service as well as parents who manage the health of their children up to age 21.
