MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes Partners with Bradie James Foundation 56 and Methodist Dallas Medical Center in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Event at MOOYAH at Frisco -- Main Street will Provide Free Breast Cancer Screenings for Local Women

Dallas, TX (PRWEB) October 04, 2013 - MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes, a fast-casual, "better burger" chain, is teaming up with Bradie James Foundation 56 (Foundation 56) and Methodist Dallas Medical Center to raise breast cancer awareness at its restaurant located in Frisco, Texas at 5710 West Main Street, Suite 600 on Monday, October 7, 2013. In support of National Breast Cancer Awareness month, MOOYAH at Frisco -- Main Street will be providing the venue for the foundation’s mobile mammogram unit, which offers free breast cancer screenings to women.

"Foundation 56 is an outstanding organization that we are proud to support," said Alexis Barnett Gillette, Director of Marketing at MOOYAH. "We are looking forward to being a part of this worthy cause and to joining in this fight against breast cancer in Texas."

Foundation 56 is a breast cancer outreach program founded by NFL linebacker Bradie James, who created the non-profit as a tribute to his mother after she died of breast cancer in 2001. The foundation supports education, mammogram screenings, diagnostic testing and social therapy programs that effectively promote awareness and provide on-going services and resources to breast cancer patients and survivors.

In 2013, the foundation has screened over 50 women at three MOOYAH restaurants, and hopes to fill all 22 slots at its event at MOOYAH at Frisco -- Main Street. Women in the community are encouraged to sign up in advance by calling 214-379-7454 or emailing info(at)bradiejames(dot)net.

"Breast cancer doesn’t have an off-season. We are committed to serving as a resource to ladies and men impacted by breast cancer," said Bradie James, Founder of Foundation 56. "We have learned that mammogram screenings are one of the first lines of defense when it comes to early detection."

The event at MOOYAH at Frisco -- Main Street marks MOOYAH’s continued partnership with Foundation 56. The brand has previously offered its restaurants as venues for free breast cancer screenings, and has hosted a fundraiser for the foundation through its Social Media platforms. Supporting local communities is at the heart of MOOYAH’s "Hometown, Home Team" culture. The burger chain also works with charities, hosts fundraisers for non-profits, and offers discounts to servicemen and servicewomen.
